The First Vice President of PNL Cătălin Predoiu announces that he supports Adrian Veștea: "I believe that the solution to getting out of the political deadlock is such a reasonable political compromise, by installing a government"

Cătălin Predoiu, first vice president of PNL, stated that Romania urgently needs a government with full powers, announcing support for the installation of an executive led by Adrian Veștea and the restoration of the governing coalition until June 2027. In a Facebook post, Predoiu emphasized that the extension of the governmental interim affects external relations and the economy, with investors postponing projects due to political uncertainty.

He highlighted the importance of a stable government for attracting investments and preventing a severe economic recession. Predoiu proposed a political compromise between pro-European parties, arguing that the solution is the formation of a Veștea government, operating based on a clear governance program. He also explained that PNL's participation in the government does not contradict the previous decision to go into opposition, but represents an adaptation to the current context that requires a political government.

"Everyone believes in their arguments and solutions. A reasonable political compromise is one in which you do not compromise the principle, as Corneliu Coposu used to say, everyone 'gives a little' and everyone gains a little. I believe that the solution to getting out of the political deadlock is such a reasonable political compromise, by installing a Veștea government and restoring the Coalition with a precise deadline, until June 2027, when the term initially assumed by PNL for leading the government expires, with a clear and firm program and with the specification that any violation of it by PSD or any other member of the Coalition will be sanctioned by PNL's immediate departure into opposition," Predoiu published in a message on Facebook.
