Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that no solution has been reached in the discussions at Cotroceni regarding the pensions of magistrates. He highlighted that the average pension of magistrates is approximately 5,000 euros, in contrast to the average pension of the population, which is only 500-600 euros. Bolojan emphasized the need to correct these discrepancies to ensure a fair and sustainable pension system in the future. He warned that, in the coming years, the number of the active population will decrease significantly, which will affect the future of Romania. The Prime Minister proposed a pension option of 3,200 euros for magistrates, considering that this would provide them with a decent old age, given that it is an amount that few Romanians receive after a lifetime of work.
