Ilie Bolojan, message on France's day: We celebrate the close ties between our countries.

On France's National Day, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan highlighted the strong relations between Romania and France, celebrating 100 years since the signing of the Franco-Romanian Friendship Treaty.

Bolojan emphasized France's influence in modernizing Romania, visible in culture, education, and institutions. The current relationship is based on a solid partnership, with French military personnel contributing to Romania's security, while Romania supports France in emergency situations, such as forest fires, where 80 Romanian firefighters collaborate with their French counterparts.

The Prime Minister also mentioned economic cooperation, with France being a major investor in Romania, with over 12 billion euros in investments and 11,000 companies. Bolojan concluded the message with well wishes for France and Franco-Romanian friendship. France's National Day, celebrated on July 14, commemorates the fall of the Bastille and national unity, marked by parades and ceremonies. Romania participated in the parade on the Champs-Élysées with a detachment from the 30th "Mihai Viteazul" Guard Brigade.
