During the show "Subject of the Day with Răzvan Dumiterscu", George Simion, the president of AUR, was asked about a possible nomination of Nicușor Dan for the position of prime minister. Simion emphasized that if Dan continues to refuse to make a nomination, he will be subjected to constitutional procedures, mentioning that the Constitution provides solutions for such situations.
He announced that a platform will be launched that will allow Romanians to check whether their parliamentarians have signed for the suspension of Nicușor Dan, arguing that he has not respected the Constitution for 94 days.
"We will make public a platform where every Romanian will be able to see whether their parliamentarian has signed for suspension or not. Because there are reasons. 94 days will be tomorrow since the second nomination did not respect the Constitution".
Simion confirmed that signatures for suspension have been collected, both from AUR and from other political groups, and is waiting for signatures from the PACE group.
He also mentioned that he hopes Victor Ponta will join the initiative.
