Petrișor Peiu, the leader of the AUR senators, declared that it is unacceptable for coalition members, especially PSD, to resort to petty political games in the context of a crisis generated by the current coalition, exacerbated by the war in Iran, and to make social democrats "two-faced".
"It is unacceptable for coalition members, first and foremost PSD, to resort to petty political games during a crisis generated by the current coalition and exacerbated by the war in Iran. PSD has two faces, the real one, behind the cushioned doors, where it is fully supportive of the government it is part of and supports the measures, but it also has another face, the public one, when it falsely claims to oppose those measures. PSD claims that Prime Minister Bolojan caused the blockage of the budget project because 'he would have introduced provisions that ignore their proposals,'" says Peiu.
He accuses PSD of trying to mislead public opinion regarding the discussions about the budget. Peiu states that the president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, attacks Prime Minister Bolojan using arguments taken from AUR, "in a ridiculous, downright Caragiale-like manner." He also emphasizes that, in reality, the coalition parties have agreed on the budget, contrary to PSD's claims.
Peiu invites PSD to support the solutions proposed by AUR for economic recovery, emphasizing that his party offers constructive alternatives in the face of criticisms directed at the current government.
