Alexandru Rogobete, the Minister of Health, stated that there is no strategic document for a 10% cut in the salaries of medical staff, in the context of discussions about budget reduction. He emphasized that the measures implemented in the ministry have generated sufficient savings to avoid such cuts. Rogobete criticized the statements of the Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, regarding the budget reduction, mentioning that health should not be affected.

He also ruled out layoffs, considering the staff shortage in hospitals. The minister stated that spending cuts will be made in a balanced manner and that the savings achieved will be reinvested in the healthcare system, thus ensuring its operation without drastic cuts.
