The designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea is expected to submit today to Parliament the government program and the list of future ministers, although he does not have a clear majority for the investment of the Executive.

PNL and USR have announced that they will not support the Veștea Government, while UDMR recommends that parliamentarians vote against the investment, which reduces the chances of the new Cabinet obtaining the Parliament's vote. Despite these obstacles, Veștea continues negotiations with smaller parliamentary groups to gather enough votes.

Political sources indicate that PSD wants to keep the majority of portfolios, conceding only the Ministry of Agriculture to attract UDMR. Names being circulated for ministries include Alexandru Rogobete for Health, Monica Anisie for Education, Nicoleta Pauliuc for the Ministry of Defense, Cătălin Predoiu for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Alexandru Nazare for the Ministry of Finance. For the Ministry of Justice, two options are being considered: Radu Marinescu or Alina Gorghiu, while Bogdan Ivan is being mentioned for the Energy portfolio. Negotiations for the distribution of portfolios are ongoing, and the final list may undergo changes.

Without the support of UDMR, USR, and PNL, Veștea could only rely on the votes of PSD and the minorities, but he lacks about 20 votes to obtain the necessary majority.
