The first message from Adrian Veștea after the expiration of the ultimatum given by Ilie Bolojan

The designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea sent a clear message on Tuesday morning, after the expiration of the ultimatum given by the president of the liberals, Ilie Bolojan, stating that he will not resign, "regardless of the pressures being exerted on him."

"I am not seeking confrontations and I will not fuel tensions. I believe that, especially in difficult times, the interest of the country must come above any political calculation.

I am convinced that this Government will pass, because Romania needs stability, a functional executive, and decisions that can no longer be postponed. This is not the time for hesitations or personal calculations, but for responsibility and political courage," Adrian Veștea wrote on his Facebook page.

After the expiration of the ultimatum, the general secretary of PNL, Dan Motreanu, is expected to note that Adrian Veștea did not respect the ultimatum received on Monday evening. He will convene an online meeting of the National Political Bureau, which will be followed by one in the same format of the National Council, tomorrow (Wednesday), and an extraordinary Congress of PNL, in which the exclusion of Adrian Veștea will be recorded, is expected to take place on Sunday.
