Romanians are being targeted by a scam in which fraudsters pose as employees of the Health Insurance Fund, asking for personal information under the pretext of fictitious payments. A case in Suceava was reported where a citizen was contacted by phone for banking details. CNAS warns that it does not ask for such information and urges people to be vigilant. The authorities are investigating these fraud attempts and advise citizens not to give personal details over the phone.
