A 67-year-old woman from Maramureș filed a complaint with the police after being scammed through a message on social media, which told her that she had won a sum of money. To collect the winnings, she was asked for her bank card details, and subsequently, unauthorized payments of nearly 3,000 lei were made from her account. The police have opened a case for fraud and warn citizens to be cautious in such situations.
