The National Investigation Inspectorate's Center for Combating Cybercrime has issued a warning about a scam method. Criminals pose as employees of telecoms companies and contact victims, asking them to install an 'updated' application via a link. This app, while appearing legitimate, allows remote control of the mobile device, putting users' personal and banking information at risk.
