Eurostat data show that Romania is among the countries with the lowest share of employees working overtime, with only 1.8% of them working more than 49 hours a week. This is partly explained by the large number of state employees. By comparison, Greece, Cyprus and France have the highest shares of employees working overtime. Romanians are also the most satisfied with their financial situation in the region, giving themselves an average of 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.
