According to Eurostat data, Romania recorded the highest increase in rents in the European Union in June 2025, with an increase of 5.8% compared to the previous year. This is more than twice the EU average of 2.3%. Estonia is the only other EU country with a similar increase, while Hungary, Slovakia and Croatia had increases of over 4%. Greece and Bulgaria reported smaller increases of 3.56% and just over 3% respectively.
