The Ploiești Court of Ploiești decided to release Elena Udrea on probation, but DNA Ploiești challenged the decision. On July 17, the Prahova court will hear the appeal. Udrea has demonstrated positive conduct in prison, being rewarded 16 times and actively participating in rehabilitation programs. Although the damages in the case have been partially acquitted, the court emphasized that this is not a mandatory condition for release. Elena Udrea is serving a six-year sentence for corruption, accused of coordinating a fraud scheme during her time in office.
