At the 125th edition of the Lépine competition, held at Porte de Versailles in Paris, 250 innovative inventions were presented. Among them, Mr. Turbino, an eco-friendly device that sucks up plastic and microplastic waste without affecting marine life, was recognized for its motorless operation, allowing use in sensitive areas. The second prize was awarded to Antoine Massebeuf for Skwheel, the first electric skis on wheels, which facilitate the practice of the sport on various terrains. Additionally, Clément Mignani, Loïc Folgoas, and Pascal Migeot de Baran won the third prize with Securpost, a connected sensor for mailboxes that notifies users about mail deliveries. The competition, founded in 1901, has recognized numerous famous inventions over time, and nearly 50% of them end up being commercialized.
