Apple has officially launched HomeView, its first device dedicated to smart homes, marking the company’s expansion into a market dominated by home automation and control systems. The device will be available starting November 13.
HomeView is built around the A18 chip and runs a dedicated operating system. Its interface includes configurable widgets inspired by the Apple Watch’s design, providing quick access to information and home functions.
The device integrates the Siri AI assistant, which can answer questions, provide information from installed apps and control connected smart devices. Unlike the iPhone, iPad and Mac, HomeView does not have an App Store, but it comes with apps such as Safari, Messages and FaceTime and supports third-party apps, including Spotify.
For video calls, the device has a 12-megapixel camera with Center Stage, which keeps the user at the center of the frame. Facial and voice recognition allows it to identify family members and display personalized interfaces. развитие
