Apple will launch a blood pressure detection feature on its smartwatch.

The Apple Watch will be able to signal possible cases of hypertension, with the launch of watchOS 26 on September 15.

The new feature, which is awaiting approval from U.S. regulatory authorities, will not detect every case of high blood pressure, but it could alert about a million people, Apple stated.

The feature will be available on the Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, Series 11, and on its more expensive smartwatches Ultra 2 and Ultra 3.
