The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that his country is collaborating with states in the Middle East to ensure the supply of diesel, the fuel that is in severe shortage in Ukraine. In an interview with Ukrainian television, Zelensky emphasized the importance of this task for national security, mentioning that approximately 90% of the fuel shortage pertains to diesel.

He also mentioned the signing of a defense cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia, which will facilitate future contracts and investments. Zelensky hopes that his visit to the Gulf states will strengthen international support for Ukraine in the context of the conflict with Russia. Additionally, Ukraine has sent over 220 experts to the Middle East to help intercept drone attacks, which have severely affected the energy infrastructure in the region.
