The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, accused Russia on Thursday of attacking a vehicle of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) twice during a humanitarian mission in the Kherson region. According to his statements, the attack occurred in the presence of the head of OCHA and other staff members, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Images posted by the military governor of the Kherson region show the severely damaged UN vehicle. This incident comes in the context of renewed Russian attacks on Ukraine following the expiration of a ceasefire, which was marked by accusations of violations from both sides. Negotiations to stop the conflict, mediated by the United States, are at an impasse, complicating the humanitarian situation in the area.
