Olga Stefanișina, former deputy prime minister for European integration, has been appointed by Zelenski as special representative for the development of relations with the United States. The appointment comes as Ukraine seeks to improve relations with Washington after the resignation of former ambassador Oksana Markarova. Stefanišina will work to maintain momentum in bilateral relations while finalizing procedures for the appointment of a new ambassador. This is part of a recent government reshuffle, which included the resignation of other ministers.
