YouTube announced on Wednesday that it has removed the Explosive Media channel, which aired animated videos in Lego style, in which American President Donald Trump was ridiculed. These videos were part of a propaganda campaign carried out by Iran, in the context of the American-Israeli offensive on February 28.
Explosive Media, a group suspected of ties to the Iranian government, gained popularity on the internet with these animations, accumulating millions of views. A YouTube spokesperson stated that the channel was closed for violating spam and scam rules. Although the channel was suspended on March 27, the group continues to publish anti-American content on other platforms, such as X and Telegram. Additionally, Instagram has deleted the group's account, but another account with the same name remains active.
Explosive Media denies any ties to the Iranian government, considering the accusations to be media distortions. The impact of the channel's removal on the audience has been limited, as the videos continue to be shared by other users.
