Xiaomi won't start selling cars in international markets until 2027, focusing now on Chinese demand for its electric models.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has announced that the company will only consider expanding sales of its cars in overseas markets from 2027, given the strong demand for the SU7 and YU7 electric models in the Chinese market. Sales of the SU7 sedan outsold Tesla's Model 3, and the YU7 SUV had significant orders at its debut. However, customers have been informed that deliveries will take more than a year, leading to dissatisfaction. Xiaomi has a single assembly plant with a monthly capacity of nearly 20,000 units.
