Shalini Devarajan, a 36-year-old woman from Singapore, was sentenced to two weeks in prison for voluntary bodily harm after she assaulted a 73-year-old taxi driver. The incident occurred in front of a police station after Shalini refused to pay the $19 fare, claiming she had no cash.

The taxi driver, noticing that the woman smelled of alcohol, agreed to take her to the nearest police station. Once there, she started a scene and slapped the driver. The court deemed her actions as bodily harm, resulting in her imprisonment.
