The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by the U.S., accused government factions of attacks on the Sheikh Maqsud neighborhood, while the Syrian Ministry of Defense accused the SDF of attacks on adjacent neighborhoods.

The violence has led to the suspension of flights from Aleppo and the closure of schools and government institutions. Additionally, the Turkish Minister of Defense has called for an end to the terrorist activities of the Kurdish groups. The SDF, which controls oil-rich areas, continues to demand a decentralized governance, an idea rejected by the Syrian authorities.
