In a radio interview on public radio, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that the year 2026 will be marked by dangers and opportunities for Hungary, emphasizing the importance of the parliamentary elections in April. Orban highlighted the need to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities, warning that a victory for pro-Brussels parties could lead to an economic war and serious damage to the country. He characterized the Tisza parties and the Democratic Coalition (DK) as pro-Brussels and pro-Ukrainian, expressing concern that if they come to power, young Hungarians could be sent to fight in Ukraine.

Orban reaffirmed the government's commitment to avoiding involvement in the conflict in Ukraine and presented economic measures, such as an 11% increase in the minimum wage and tax incentives for SMEs, emphasizing that Hungary must remain on the "Hungarian path" to ensure a stable economy.
