Venezuela: The army incorporates 5600 additional soldiers in the context of tensions with Washington.

The Venezuelan army incorporated, on Saturday, in Caracas 5,600 young people, a response to the deployment by the United States of an important naval force, among which is the largest aircraft carrier in the world.

The Venezuelan army numbers approximately 200,000 soldiers, to which 200,000 police officers are added, according to official figures.

Tensions between the United States and Venezuela have intensified even more since Washington launched attacks on ships suspected of drug trafficking, resulting in the deaths of 87 people, especially in the Caribbean Sea, without providing evidence of their connection to drug trafficking.
