By a six to three majority, the US Supreme Court has ruled that Tennessee's law banning transgender minors from access to transition treatment is not discriminatory. The conservative justices argued that the law reflects the will of the people and respects the democratic process. The decision could significantly influence other states, about half of which have adopted similar measures.
