A drone attack attributed to Ukraine caused a significant fire at an energy facility and at several warehouses in the Volgograd region, southern Russia, according to information provided by Mediafax.
Governor Andrei Bocharov confirmed the incident but did not provide details about the type of facility affected or the extent of the damage. Meanwhile, in the city of Gukovo in the Rostov region, another person was injured due to a similar attack. These attacks come amid an intensification of Ukraine's strikes on Russian logistical and energy infrastructure, aimed at affecting Moscow's war capacity.
Ukraine considers these actions as "long-term sanctions" intended to reduce Russia's military resources. At the same time, Ukraine continues to be the target of drone and missile attacks from Russia, highlighting the escalation of the conflict, with limited prospects for a quick resolution of hostilities.
