A drone attack launched by Ukraine hit several buildings in the city of Krasnodar, in southern Russia, resulting in the death of one person, announced the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratiev.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, and authorities reported damage to three buildings, with a fire breaking out in an apartment, which was quickly extinguished. Although there are reports of a drone hitting a residential block, the exact circumstances remain unclear.
Ukrainian attacks on targets in Russia have become frequent, with Ukraine claiming to target military and energy infrastructures in response to Russian bombings on Ukrainian territory.
U.S.-mediated negotiations between Ukraine and Russia have not made significant progress in attempts to stop the conflict, which has led to massive loss of human life.
