Ukraine and Qatar sign a strategic cooperation agreement

The signed agreement between Ukraine and Qatar aims at collaboration in the technological field, the development of joint investments, and the exchange of expertise in combating missiles and unmanned aerial systems. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this agreement during his visit to Qatar, emphasizing the importance of Ukraine's expertise in destroying Russian drones. Similar agreements have been concluded by Kiev with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and Ukraine has sent anti-drone experts to these countries. Ukraine promotes its anti-drone defense system as one of the most effective in the world, proposing to replace drone interceptors with more expensive surface-to-air missiles used by Gulf countries. This collaboration comes in a context where Ukraine needs more missiles to cope with Russian attacks.
