In recent days, Ukraine has intensified attacks on key export infrastructure for Russian oil near the Baltic Sea, according to BBC reports. Starting from March 23, at least three oil facilities in the Leningrad region, near St. Petersburg, have been targeted, including the ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk, as well as the Kirishi refinery. Analyses show that, during the period of March 26-27, there was no loading activity of oil in these ports, marking a first since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Satellite images confirm the destruction of numerous storage tanks, and fires have been observed continuing in the following days. The commander of the Ukrainian forces specialized in drones stated that the attacks aimed to demilitarize Russia's refining capacity and export infrastructure, having a significant impact on the Russian economy.
