The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that Ukraine and Greece have signed an agreement for a new natural gas supply route, aimed at improving Ukraine's energy security during the winter. This agreement follows Zelensky's visit to Greece, where other agreements were also established for financing gas imports, totaling nearly 2 billion euros to compensate for losses in gas production caused by Russian attacks.
The collaboration also extends to European partners, including the European Commission and the United States, to ensure Ukraine's energy needs. After Greece, Zelensky will visit France to discuss a defense agreement, followed by a trip to Spain. The agreement with Greece is crucial in the context of Russia's ongoing attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
