On Sunday, during a half-marathon in Almaty, Kazakhstan, two runners died. Akkoyan Rsaliyev, aged 84, collapsed at the start of the race and 21-year-old Akhmadi fell after about 16 kilometers. Both were regular participants in long-distance running competitions. Organizers have sent condolences to the families of the deceased through the 'Courage to Be First' foundation.
