The Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, stated on Saturday that NATO countries must respond to the recent threats from Dmitry Medvedev, former president of Russia, who warned that the "peaceful sleep" of citizens in the European Union has come to an end.
Tusk mentioned that the provocations from Russia are intensifying, targeting not only Poland and the Baltic states but also Romania. Medvedev's comments came after an incident in which a Russian drone fell on a residential block in Galați, and he stated that EU citizens must be aware that their authorities have unilaterally entered into a war with Russia.
Tusk emphasized the importance of all NATO members taking these threats seriously, considering the escalation of tensions in the region.
