In a series of messages on his platform Truth Social, Trump promised to add the poll to an already filed defamation lawsuit against the newspaper, accusing it of lies and bias. He stated that false polls should be considered criminal offenses and mentioned several media outlets that he believes are guilty of publishing biased data. This outburst of anger comes in the context of the midterm elections, where Trump is preparing to get actively involved, considering that the poll showed a major dissatisfaction with his policies, including in the areas of immigration and tariffs.
