The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated that China has conducted "the largest cyber attack on electoral data in history," during a speech delivered at the White House.
Trump announced that he will declassify documents that highlight "shocking vulnerabilities" in the American electoral system, claiming that these documents demonstrate that, starting with the 2020 elections, China carried out a hacking operation that led to the illegal acquisition of 220 million files of American voters. Although Trump has consistently claimed that the 2020 elections were stolen from him, without providing concrete evidence, experts and independent courts have concluded that there was no significant fraud that affected the results.
