Romanian citizens who are or intend to travel to the islands of Oceania, such as Fiji, Nauru, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, Kiribati, Tonga and Tuvalu, are warned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the high risks of tsunami and strong currents. They are advised to heed local warnings and leave coastal areas. Contact information for consular assistance is available for Romanians in Australia.
