Thousands of Israeli women blocked access to the Knesset demanding the release of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip.

The protests were organized by the Shift 101 group, which blocked the road to the Knesset to put pressure on the government to negotiate the hostages' release. Some 250 people were taken hostage by Hamas in 2023 and protesters are demanding the government negotiate their release. Benjamin Netanyahu faces opposition from his right-wing and ultra-religious coalition partners to any deal with Hamas.
