Netanyahu stated that Israel is on the front line of the fight between civilization and barbarism, warning that any attack on the country will have severe consequences. In contrast, American officials have claimed that Hamas has not violated the ceasefire agreement and emphasized that the process of returning the bodies of deceased hostages will be a difficult one. Initiatives for creating a safe zone in the Palestinian territories and for the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip were also discussed. Israel will announce the reopening of the crossing point at Rafah at a later date, and humanitarian aid remains in question.
