The breach of the embankment led to the evacuation of 3,832 residents and more than 1,200 people were mobilized for rescue operations. No casualties have been reported so far. Temporary shelters have also been set up for evacuees. The province is experiencing severe storms, with some areas affected by Typhoon Gaemi.
