Elisabeta Boldijar, a 36-year-old woman from Romania, was found dead in the ruins of an abandoned building in Catania, Italy. Initially, investigators suspected foul play, but the autopsy revealed that the injuries on her body were consistent with bites from stray dogs, not from a sharp weapon. The wounds were too superficial to have been caused by a sharp object. The woman, also known as Adele, lived in the dilapidated building, where she prostituted herself to survive and had issues with crack addiction. The investigation has been reopened, and witnesses have provided conflicting information about her last days. The prosecutor's office has ordered toxicology tests, and the results will be available in a few weeks.
