Radosław Sikorski, the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated that the war in Ukraine could last another three years, suggesting that Russia might reach exhaustion. He emphasized that, although Russia started the conflict in Donbass more than 10 years ago, it has not managed to achieve a significant victory. Sikorski mentioned that the initial perception of Europe regarding Russia's military power has proven to be erroneous.
He also expressed hope that the USA will continue to support Ukraine, while Poland is ready to contribute resources for defense. Regarding peace negotiations, the Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister announced that discussions with Russia have not made progress, highlighting the difficulties of negotiating with a dictatorial regime. Russia has stated that it is open to resuming negotiations in Turkey, but has placed the responsibility on Ukraine.
