The transaction, approved by the U.S. State Department, aims to strengthen the security of Poland, a NATO ally, in the context of Russian threats. Poland, which has initiated a military modernization program, will allocate 4.8% of its GDP for defense next year, an increase from the current 4.7%. This acquisition is part of a series of contracts with the United States and South Korea.
