Poland has concluded a significant contract with the domestic defense manufacturer WB Group, worth approximately 2.75 billion euros, for the acquisition of surveillance and attack drones.

These contracts will be financed through the European program Security Action for Europe (SAFE) and foresee the delivery, by 2030, of over 400 Warmate loitering munition systems, each containing 10 drones, 12 battery fire modules (BFM) for the Gladius system, and 190 FlyEye reconnaissance UAV systems.

The Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, emphasized the economic benefits of this project, mentioning that nearly 90% of the funds will be directed towards Polish companies, thus generating new jobs. Poland, the largest beneficiary of the SAFE program, is investing nearly 5% of its GDP in modernizing the army, aiming to strengthen defense capabilities.
