Residents of southern Paris now have a new urban cable car at their disposal, the longest in the area, with a length of 4.5 kilometers. This line, which cost approximately 138 million euros, offers them a quick alternative to congested road transport, reducing travel time to 18 minutes, compared to 40 minutes by bus.
The cable car has five stations and will connect communities in the south of the capital with the Paris metro network, benefiting approximately 20,000 residents and employees. The project was implemented to address the overcrowding of the transport network in the area, considering that traditional routes are already heavily used. France is no stranger to urban cable cars, already having examples in Toulouse and other European cities.
