The UN Security Council meets on Friday in New York to discuss the conflict between the USA, Israel, and Iran.

The UN Security Council will meet on Friday, behind closed doors, at the request of Moscow, to discuss the war initiated by the United States and Israel against Iran, starting on February 28. The meeting, set by the United States, which holds the presidency of the Council this month, will take place at 10:00 AM New York time.

Russia requested this meeting following the Israeli-American attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran, including educational and health institutions, resulting in the deaths of over 150 children in an attack on a school in the city of Minab. The military campaign led to a significant Iranian response and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic point for the transit of oil and natural gas. On the same day, the UN Human Rights Council will hold a separate meeting in Geneva to discuss the attack on the school. Additionally, Lebanon will bring to the UN Security Council's attention the Israeli actions that threaten its sovereignty.
