An 18-year-old student named Kobe discovered a treasure estimated at approximately 9 million euros while working on the renovation of a building in Saint-Gilles-lez-Termonde, Belgium. While installing new floors, he and a colleague dug deep down to the foundations of the building, where they found a block of gold wrapped in a plastic bag, bricked into the wall of the cellar.
The treasure, discovered at the 'brewer's house', includes coins, nuggets, and numbered bars, all having significant value. The building, which was a brewery in the past, is now under renovation to become studios and offices. The gold has been kept in a secure location, and authorities are investigating whether it is linked to a theft or criminal activity. According to Belgian law, those who find treasures must wait five years to allow for the identification of the owners.
