The Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak rejected on Wednesday the claims made by Donald Trump, who stated that the Russian economy is on the brink of collapse due to a lack of gasoline in certain regions. Trump said that Vladimir Putin should end the war in Ukraine, emphasizing that this conflict affects Russia's image. Novak assured that there are no reasons for concern, mentioning that the supply in the domestic market is stable and that the balance between production and consumption is maintained.
Although some regions have experienced temporary gasoline shortages due to high interest rates and Ukrainian drone attacks on refineries, the government quickly intervened to redirect supplies to the affected areas, thus highlighting the stability of the domestic market.
