The devastating fire that occurred in a nightclub on Saturday night in Arpora, Goa, resulted in the death of 25 people, most of them from asphyxiation, and the likely cause is fireworks. After the tragedy, brothers Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, the club owners, left India, boarding a flight to Phuket, Thailand, which raised suspicions about their intention to evade the investigation. The Goa police conducted searches at their home in New Delhi.

Although Saurabh Luthra promised on social media that he would help the victims' families and expressed his sorrow, authorities have arrested four people and launched investigations into safety and regulatory violations. Goa, a popular tourist destination, received over ten million tourists in 2024, including a significant number of foreign visitors.
