The Dutch government will distribute, between November 25 and January 10, an official brochure entitled 'Prepare for an Emergency Situation!', which contains instructions for citizens on how to cope with the first 72 hours of a serious crisis. The 33-page document addresses scenarios such as cyber attacks, power outages, floods, and armed conflicts, aiming to increase the preparedness of the population.

Acting Minister of Defense, Ruben Brekelmans, emphasized that the initiative does not aim to generate fear, but to improve the resilience of citizens. The brochure includes advice for preparing an emergency kit and planning actions in case of a crisis. It also highlights that, in the event of a major disaster, the government cannot provide assistance to everyone, making the autonomous action of the population necessary.
